In 1973, when I was waiting to hear about my admission to the Society of Jesus, I received my letter of acceptance on Holy Thursday. I am grateful for the years since then, and I hope and pray for you and for your classmates much joy and happiness as you begin your formation as a Jesuit.l

I am not surprised at all to see Greg in SJ. He is truly one of the finest men I served with in all my time in the navy. Thinking back on how he lived his faith in sometimes difficult settings played a not insignificant role in my own decision to join the Catholic Church. He was clearly on a path to this vocation even then. God bless you, Greg. All the best.
